Lake Fun with Good Friends!

On Saturday, Campbell went to spend some time with his favorite second mother, Emily, while Matt and I spent some time with Jeff and Heather at the lake. The weather was perfect, the food was awesome, and the company could not have been better.

Good thing Uncle Matt was there to save the day!

The boys were so tired from all the day's festivities. They were asleep before dinner.

Thanks Jeff and Heather for having us. We had such a good time!

My child's new toy

I am trying to not hold Cam too often because I don't want him to be a complete "momma's boy," but there are only so many places to put a 3 month old. He will stay on the floor for a little while but then gets bored with his little gym and wants up. He has outgrown his swing and is not quite big enough for his Bumbo. We decided to put Campbell in the exersaucer to see how he liked it and it seems to be doing the trick. He stayed in it for about 20 minutes today smiling and giggling. I couldn't help but take a few pictures.
If anyone has any other suggestions of other modes of entertainment, let me know!

Happy Father's Day!

Matt teaching Cam about the iphone. I think the Xbox will be the next lesson!

Matt has always been a wonderful husband, but over the past 3 months I have watched him become something even more incredible: he has become a wonderful daddy. Watching him interact with Cam is amazing. Listening to him talk about playing ball with him one day, taking him to school, and helping him develop his own hobbies for them to share (Lord help us), I could not be more proud of who I married. Happy Father's Day Baby! Cam and I love you very much!

What do you do at your Nana's house?

Saturday we went to Nana's house in Lula for some fun. As you can tell it was not your average trip to grandma's:).

We swam in her pool. Here are some pictures of Cam's first swim with his Aunt Cole and a few other shots. Do you see a resemblance to Michael Phelps? A mom can dream!

Cash played with some mid evil torture devices. What?????

Mark and Matt "rode" motorcycles

And finally, we shot skeet. I wasn't very good but Matt did awesome.

Thanks Nana for a fun day!

3 months already?

I cannot believe that my little guy is three months old today. People always say they grow up too fast and now I believe them. He has changed so much since we brought him home. He is becoming a little boy! I can't help but think that before I know it he will be walking, talking, and eventually going to college:). It's exciting but a little sad at the same time. A part of me wants him to stay so little and sweet forever.
The past three months have truly been the best time of my life. Matt and I are completely in love with that little man and feel so blessed that God chose us to raise him.

Happy Birthday Josh!

After visiting Josh and Kasi we headed to Woodstock for Uncle Josh's 3o birthday get-together. He wasn't too excited about turning 30 but I say any excuse to eat cake is a good thing!

I read somewhere that a baby has a way of making a man out of his father and a boy out of his grandfather. It melts my heart to see the smile on Papa's face when Cam is near. As you can tell from the picture he is adored!

The grill master

We all look a little silly. Cam discovered cartoons and could not stop watching the television!

A Budding Romance...

We went to visit Josh, Kasi, and sweet little Hannah today. What a beautiful little girl! I think Campbell developed a little crush. He seems to have a thing for older girls who can eat solids!

Potential Lefty?

I have noticed that Campbell has a tendency to put his left hand in his mouth and reach for things with his left hand. Matt is left-handed, so I wonder if Cam will follow in his footsteps. Should I start stocking up on left-handed scissors and can-openers? ......only time will tell!

Campbell's first family reunion

Today Campbell met some of his wild and crazy relatives on Matt's mom's side of the family. We all met at the Sawnee Mountain Perserve for good food and fun. The weather was beautiful and Campbell handled being passed around like a champ. It was so great to see everyone and catch up.

Needless to say, the day wore both of my guys out!
