4 Months Old!

When we were at the beach last week Campbell turned 4 months old. He is rolling over, sitting with a little help and standing with a lot of help, talking up a storm, and even tried rice cereal for the first time. I guess he has been watching us eat long enough to know how to do it. He didn't spit any out, not even the first bite. I think he is going to be a good eater!
We went to the pediatrician today for his 4 month check up and his shots. He is 18 pounds 11 ounces and is 27 and a half inches long. Needless to say he is off the charts. His doctor was impressed with his motor skills, personality, and perfect head. Lots of Tummy Time is the key!
We added sweet potatoes to his rice cereal today and he fell in love. Ate all of it and wanted more!

He is becoming more of a daddy's boy every day. When Matt walks into the room, Campbell lights up and instantly forgets about everyone and everything else. He smiles and watches his every move. He even gets frustrated if Matt doesn't give him the attention he thinks he deserves. I love watching them together.
I have a feeling we are going to have to consider having another child sooner than later so I will have someone of my side during family debates!

PCB or Bust!

Last week we loaded up and headed to Panama City for a week. My mom rents a house every summer for the family to get together and enjoy some quality time with each other and the sunshine! This year was quite different because Campbell was here to enjoy the fun.

My mom is so wonderful and holds "Camp Nana" while the adults enjoy some fun in the sun. She finger-painted, flew kites, decorated cookies, and in Cam's case, listened for him while he napped. Next year he will be old enough to join in on some of the festivities.

Cash made it to 3!

My nephew is ALL BOY and has already worried my sister to pieces! He has knocked out his front tooth, needed stitches after another fall, needed a biopsy, and almost drowned, all before his 3rd birthday. If this is any indication of what is to come, my sister is going to have her hands full.

On Sunday we helped Cash celebrate his 3rd birthday. He wanted a pirate party with a pumpkin cake. Go figure:). Here are pictures of the celebration.

His smile says it all! He had a great third birthday.
I hope someone got him kneepads and a helmet so we can get him to a fourth!

4th of July Craziness!

We definitely celebrated 4Th of July to its fullest! We started the day with our neighborhood pool party. It was fun to get together with everyone for food and fun. Then it was off to the Hensley's for a barbecue. By the time we got home, Cam was too exhausted to watch fireworks. Maybe next year:). Here are some pictures from the Hensley's.

A Day of Firsts

Yesterday Campbell got his first piece of mail. Jan and Madison signed him up with Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy. It is a wonderful program in Forsyth County that sends your child a book a month till they are 5. It also comes with a lesson plan for how to use it with your child. It is a wonderful program and the best part is the price. It's free!
For Campbell's first book they sent him The Little Engine that Could.

The second "first" is the one Matt is most proud of. Campbell has realized that The Yellow Jacket on his exersaucer should be the target for all of his drool and spit-up:). He loves to torture that poor bee. Matt is a proud papa! Go Dawgs!
