When it rains, it pours, then it snows, then it ices.

I am usually an upbeat blogger. I'm not all about retelling all the woes and worries of the week, but the past two weeks have been so usually crazy I had to share. Looking back, it is really laughable.
It started last Tuesday (my first day back to work after Christmas break). I get a call from our nanny, Emily, who thinks Cam has pink eye. What? He was just fine 2 hours ago. What happened? So, I took him to the doctor and got the drops. I wash everything from his bedding to my hands (about a billion times).
I wake up Thursday morning with the same gunky mess. I had to stay home from school and go to the doctor for me (I did have a big talk with Cam about not having to share everything with his mom).
On Friday I had my glucose test, which is nasty in itself. Yuck!

On Saturday, Cam develops a rash on his face, tummy, and tops of his legs. No fever and not feeling bad, so the doctor said not to worry, it must be an allergic reaction to something.
Not the best picture, but you can see the rash.

On Sunday, the fever starts, so it's back to the doctor. They have no idea what it is, but gave us a steroid and said to watch it. That night it starts snowing.
So pretty!

On Monday, I start getting the worst acid reflux known to man. Every time I moved acid creeped up my throat. Tums were no match for it. I could barely speak. After a few days I had to call the doctor. They put me on something, but with all the snow turning into ice, we could not go get it. My really sweet neighbor made a trip for me, which was wonderful!
After the acid was under control, I started throwing up. That's right! I caught some virus. Let me tell you, throwing up when you're almost 8 months pregnant makes you miss your stomach muscles, big time!
On Wednesday, I was finally keeping food down again, but was feeling really bad. I went back to the doctor and ended up with a double ear infection, an upper respiratory infection, and PINK EYE AGAIN!

I am so glad we started an FSA this year. I think with the copays and prescriptions of the past 2 weeks, we will not have to worry about losing money. Hopefully the funk has left our house and will not be back anytime soon!
Matt hates these PJ's, but they make me smile (and it's my blog).

2 of a kind

Here is Daddy teaching Cam that making Play Dough come out of your eyes and mouth is much more fun than building things. I am so proud:)

The Big 6-0

Nana turned 60 on Saturday and we decided to surprise her with dinner, presents, and cake Friday night. Imagine her surprise when she came for her weekly babysitting job (I know, we are very lucky!) and we all take her out to Mexican instead. I think she enjoyed her meal, the margaritas, and the company:). I think she was even more surprised that we remembered her birthday at all, to be honest.

I think Cash is pretty smart. He is always beside the birthday girl. I think he knows who is in charge of the cake.

There he is again. For some reason, I didn't get any pictures without Cash.

Thank you Nana for all that you do for us. We wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more!

It's Potty Time!

Cam has been sitting on his potty every time I potty for about 3 weeks now. He loves to go through all the motions, including wiping:). I guess it's time Daddy started taking him so he gets a male potty perspective.
Today I actually took off his clothes and let him really try to potty, and guess what? He did it! He was so proud of himself. I couldn't tell if he was more excited about actually peeing or the treat he got. I wish one skittle made he that happy!

Happy New Year!

We have spent New Year's Eve with Kevin and Laura for the past 3 years. It has become a wonderful tradition. The kids have a blast playing and the adults get time to hang out, watch bowl games, and catch up. I am so glad we were there this year since Georgia did so awful. Matt can't throw things at someone else's TV:). We all had a good time in spite of the loss and look forward to all 2011 has in store.

Ringing in the new year...at 7:45!

Sweet Mia and Austin

New Year's day was spent eating the traditional foods (turnip greens, black eyed peas, etc.) with Mark, Nickole, and the boys. I didn't get any pictures, but you can imagine full bellies and big smiles.
