Happy Easter!

“Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time.” ~Martin Luther

We spent this Easter enjoying our family and the promise our God has fulfilled. Jesus, Our Savior, is Alive!
Happy Easter!

Ready for the Bunny!

Saturday night we got ready for the Easter Bunny to visit. Cam was so excited to set up everything and he seems to get the whole idea a lot more than last year. It was so fun to see his excitement.

Powder by the door..check!

Letter to the Easter Bunny...check!

A snack for the bunny and baskets ready...check!

I think we are all ready!

Tucker is 3!

Tucker had a baseball party at the new park in Cumming to celebrate his third birthday on the day before Easter. He is beyond obsessed with sports. He walks around with a helmet on and wears Cooper's baseball clothes 24/7. Such a funny kid! Here our some pics from the day.

All the action

Cam's favorite part..the cake:)

Harper enjoyed herself, too

Crazy Cousins

perhaps she had too much fun (don't you just love her little Easter hat?)

still look like my daddy:)

Everyone had a great time. Happy Birthday Tucker!
Only a few more months till you get to play t-ball on a real team. I think that is the best present of all!

Egg-cellent Fun

We decided to dye the Easter eggs on Good Friday this year because we had Tucker's party and the Easter Service at church on Easter Eve. We gathered at Mark and Nickole's house so the cousins could get creative together. I think Cam really enjoyed his first egg dying experience.

ready for action

so excited!

concentrating hard

Harper wanted in on the action, too!

Not so silent reflux

My sweet little girl was so peaceful and calm for the first 2 weeks of her life. She was easy! Then things changed....dramatically! She started screaming and did not stop.

We took her to the pediatrician and they diagnosed her with silent reflux (there is nothing silent about it!). They prescribed Zantac. It did nothing. She still screamed and screamed after she ate.
We went back to the doctor. They put her on an Alimentum formula and changed her to Prilosec. It didn't help.

We were then sent to the GI doctor. He agreed that she had severe reflux and also believes she has a very sensitive stomach. He upped her Prilosec to over double what she was taking. She developed severe diarrhea and was still screaming. They changed her to Soy formula to help with the diarrhea. It made her extremely constipated.

We went back to the GI doctor on Monday. He added Merilax to help with the constipation and gave us an enema to give her. Lovely!

We feel the reflux is being controlled with the meds, but her stomach is still bothering her. She needs help going to the bathroom and cries through the 45 minute process. Bless her heart!
I see another trip to the GI doctor in our near future.

She is definitely not helping my case to have one more baby in the future. Matt now says he is happy with 2:) Ha!

I'm 1 Month Old!

I cannot believe you are already 1 month old. Besides the reflux (see post) you are such a sweet baby. You love to cuddle and be loved on. You are very observant and seem to like things quiet and relaxed. You really wake up during Cam's nap and when he goes to sleep. We joke and say you are playing dead so Cam doesn't mess with you when he is awake:). Speaking of Cam....he really loves you. He loves to help feed you, rock you, and especially burp you (anyway he can hit and get away with it makes him happy). He wants you to sleep in his bed and gets upset when you can't. He loves to read books in your room. I think you guys are going to be great friends!

At your 1 month doctor appointment you weigh 8 pounds 5 ounces. You are 21 inches long. We are in love with every inch of you!

Riding off into the sunset..then falling in a lake:)

Well.....it started out to be a great day on the farm. Josh, Kasi, and Hannah came with us to enjoy the beautiful weather at Gigi and Papa's house. From the pictures below you can tell that Hannah was really impressed with Cam and his horsemanship. We thought a proposal and wedding were in the works...until............

She told him to go jump in the lake:). Well, not exactly, but Cam did fall in the lake while throwing sticks for the dogs. Not the best way to impress the girl!

The aftermath
Poor kid!

Hey, I just thought about it and all girls like a battle scar. It shows you have a dangerous side (remember Dylan from 90210 and the scar in his eyebrow?).

I think you still have a chance!

Can you tell?

Campbell and Harper's birthdays are 1 day apart, almost to the minute. They were about the same weight and height. They have many things in common, but I'm not sure if their looks is one of them. What do you think?

Campbell

Harper

Campbell looks just like his daddy. I wonder if I will have a blonde hair, blue eyed little girl or if she will resemble me. Only time will tell:)
