Time for Church:)

Matt and I decided before we had kids that they would not go to any daycare till they were at least 1. I didn't want them getting exposed to all those germs before they were old enough to handle them. That means one of us had to stay home from church on Sundays. I usually take Cam and Matt stays home with Harper.
Since Harper turned 1 last Friday, we decided to go to church as a family. Harper is not very easy going when it comes to strangers. She cried and cried, but made it through the whole hour. Hopefully it will become easier and easier as the weeks go by.

All ready to go!

Cam turns 3 and Harper turns 1...all in one weekend!

We started out the day with birthday muffins for all.

Happy 1st Birthday Little Bit!

Happy 3rd Birthday Cam Man!

Next, we headed to Catch Air for Cam's party. Both of my babies had a blast. Cam and Harper played and played. Cam jumped, slid, danced, ran, and then did it all again. Harper ran around the place till she wore herself out.

Dancing it out:)

Dance party with Daddy

All my friends came to celebrate

Harper loved the inflatables

His dinosaur cake
Yummy!

We then headed back to our house to have some BBQ and celebrate Harper's first birthday with the family. It was a pretty low key evening. The best part was definitely her cake.

It started out harmless

I even offered to share with Mama

then it got bad

Try some Cam!

Not slowing down

The end result (thanks Gigi for bathing me:)
Happy Birthday, My Sweet Little Girl!

License to Drive

I can not believe my little boy has been on this planet for 3 whole years! My mom thought a new big boy bike (with training wheels) was a great gift to mark this special birthday. It was a hit! He was so excited and could not wait to get out in the colt de sac and try out his new wheels. He did such a good job! I think Daddy was the proudest papa :)

Ready to Go!

Getting some pointers from Daddy

I can do it by myself!

I'm One!

What a crazy year this has been. From coming 3 weeks early to all the crying (I'm talking about a lot of ear piercing, make you lose your mind kind of crying), I cannot believe we all lived through it.
Harper had a rough start, but now we have a different little girl. She is happy most of the time, gives the best hugs and kisses, has the biggest laugh, loves her Mama and Daddy like there's no tomorrow, and truly looks up to her big brother. We could not imagine life without her.
At one, Harper has now been walking and running for 2 1/2 months. She has 8 teeth and uses them well. She will eat anything! From green olives to hamburgers, this girl has a huge appetite. She loves climbing steps and hates getting dresses or undressed. She has a temper and will let you know if she doesn't like something. Since getting tubes, she now has lots of words. Her favorite are Ma-ma, Da-da, thank you, nana (banana), and uh oh (which she says before she drops something:). She is 20 pounds 8 ounces (around the 25th percentile) and 2 feet 7 inches (89th percentile). She is absolutely perfect!

Happy First Birthday My Sweet Girl!

Tubes for Harper

Harper had 4 ear infections in the past month and a half. It seems she would get over one and another one would set in right away. It was so frustrating.
Our doctor decided that getting tubes was the best way to keep these infections from happening. They did a hearing test last Wednesday and found that both of her ear drums were not vibrating like they should, due to all the fluid. We took her the following Thursday morning at 6:30 to the Outpatient Surgery Center. We were on our way back home by 8:00, with tubes intact and a mad little girl! Apparently, kids do not like to be sedated.
After a good nap, Harper was back to her old self. She was so happy and we immediately saw a difference in her language. She was babbling and attempting words. The best part is that we have not had an ear infection since...knock on wood.

Not too bad for 6:30 in the morning:)

Ready for surgery (whether she likes it or not)
