Monkey Joes

It is really hard to have a toddler when the weather is awful. Campbell and I were getting so stir crazy being at home, so we picked up Tucker and headed to Monkey Joes. We had never been there before and wanted to check it out.
I know there are a lot of germs floating around and I think I used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer, but it was so worth it! The kids got to run around and climb on everything. They had a blast!
We are even thinking about having his birthday party there since it's going to be 2 weeks before the new baby's due date and making things as easy as possible during that time seems to be a good idea.

I could eat him up!

Jump, Jump, and then Fall. That seemed to be the pattern.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is a very busy holiday for us. With three family get togethers over three days it can get a little hectic, but we could not imagine Christmas without seeing everyone.

We started Christmas Eve at Papa and Gigi's house (Matt's mom and stepdad). It was so nice to hang out with Aunt Laura and Uncle Brady and the Grandparents. It was very low key and relaxing.

Christmas morning was spent at our house. Let me tell you...I want to keep Cam this age forever. Christmas is not about how many presents he gets or how fast he can open them. He would open one thing and play with it for a while and then open another one. Can I teach him to be like this forever? Probably not, but a mom can dream:).

Later that day we packed up and headed to my parent's house to celebrate with all of my family. My brothers were all at home this year which was really nice. Christmas is not the same without them.
Mallory also stayed in Georgia this year to celebrate with us. My youngest brother proposed to her over Thanksgiving and we are thrilled she is part of the family. I can't believe he is old enough to be married:).

To make things even better, it snowed on Christmas Day! I never thought we would actually have a white Christmas. It was so special!

The day after Christmas we played in the snow for a while and then headed to Woodstock to see Matt's dad and stepmom. Cam had a blast driving his new car around. It will probably be the only new car he owns till after college, so he better enjoy it now:).

Here are a few pictures of Cam playing in the snow. He had such a great time and did not want to come in. Mommy and Daddy on the other hand were freezing!

My little nerd:)

It's official. My child is a nerd. He loves technology. He knows his way around an iPhone, an iPad, and even a laptop. One guess where he gets these mad skills. Like father, like son!

So Very Thankful!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. No presents, no hustle and bustle, no stress. Good food, football, and spending time with family and friends are the only things on the agenda. I absolutely love it! It's a great time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for without the craziness.

It's Cookie Time

Cam loves cookies! He uses the word "cookies" at least 10 times a day. Don't worry, we don't give him cookies every day, but that doesn't stop him from asking for them.

You can imagine how thrilled he was when Aunt Nickole and the boys came over to make cookies with us. He was on cloud 9!

hard at work

I'm not sure if Cam actually made a cookie. He seemed to be content eating the dough.

He tried to wash down the dough with some frosting:)

Top of the Pile

We are bringing another one into this craziness. The questions is...
how long before she is on top of that dog pile?

Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween! I don't exactly know why..I hate scary movies or being scared in general, and as anyone can see, I don't need the candy. Maybe it's the weather change or maybe it's because it's the beginning of holiday season. I really can't put my finger on it.
I will tell you the one thing that has made me love it even more: watching my son. Seeing him get excited to see Mr. Bones and the other decorations daily, experiencing candy corn, and dressing up like a pumpkin. Seeing Halloween through his eyes this year has been such a special memory for Matt and myself. We are all sad to see it go.

My sister throws the best parties that include food,

pumpkin carving

and entertainment. Here's Cooper doing the Thriller dance.

My little pumpkin had a great time!

The President even made an appearance.

Campbell's first trick or treat!

He decided it was less work to sit on our doorstep and eat our candy. Smart Boy!

I had to take a picture of Mr. Bones before we put him away. He was definitely Cam's favorite part of Halloween. Cam loved to make him dance and sing. Not hearing him 20 times a day is something I'm not going to miss:)

Happy Birthday Grandma!

I had a tennis match on Sunday so Matt and Cam made a trip to Woodstock without me to celebrate Grandma's birthday. They started off at La Parilla, their favorite Mexican restaurant, for a late lunch. Next they went back to the house for some Pumpkin carving. It looks like they had a blast.

October Fun!

On Saturday we packed Cam up bright and early and headed to Burt's Pumpkin Patch. Since Cam is going to be a pumpkin for Halloween, we figured he needed some on the job experience. He absolutely loved all the pumpkins and the hayride. I think his favorite part, however, was the pumpkin roll I let him taste on the way home. Yummy!

I like this one:)

Saturday Night we headed over to GiGi and Papa's for the barn raising party. That's right, a barn raising party. Let me tell you, it was the best barn raising party I have ever been to. I have only been to this one, but that's beside the point. We had such a great time dancing, eating, and enjoying the new barn.

Everyone had a great time.
