Day at the park

It was such a pretty day we decided to meet Mrs. Emily and the boys at Fowler Park. As you can tell, they do love a good park!

I'm 2 Months Old!

At your 2 month appointment you were up to 11 lbs 7 oz (50th percentile) and 1 foot 10.5 inches tall (50th percentile). What a big girl you are!

You got all your shots and barely cried. You did, however, let the sweet nurses have it when they did your allergy testing. How they could find a vein in that tiny arm is beyond me! It takes mad skill:) The good news is you're not allergic to milk or soy, you just have a very sensitive tummy. The EleCare seems to be helping with that and making you much less uncomfortable (at the price it costs per can, it better:). The Prilosec is also helping a lot with your reflux. Although we have our bad days, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

You are smiling and gooing, which I just love. You are holding your head up and noticing all the noises and colors around you.

Your brother is also getting so much better with you. He notices when you are not around and asks about your whereabouts. He reads to you and plays with your toys. One of his favorite things is to sit in your rocking chair and read your books. He still has his moments, but I think he is warming up to the idea of you hanging around:)

We love you so much!

Uh-Oh Spaghetti O's

He loves saying Uh-Oh Spaghetti O's and he loves attempting to eat them. Mommy does not love cleaning up the mess, but it's all part of the job:)

Big Boy Bed???

Cam loves his crib. From the first night he slept in it, it was love at first lay. He has never tried to climb out of it. In fact, he wants to climb in it all the time. That leads me to wonder, "Will he ever be ready for a big boy bed?'
I always heard to wait till they climb out of their crib before changing them over. Leave well enough alone. Well, if that's the case, he was probably be 35:).
A little while ago he did take a nap in his cousin's big boy bed and slept pretty well without getting out, but I think he sleeps more soundly in the crib. Do I convert the crib and risk loosing what little sleep we are getting now that we have an 8 week old? Do I leave him in the crib till his feet hang over the rails? What to do, what to do?

The Screaming Continues

On Thursday we went down to Scottish Rite for the PH Probe on Harper. They stuck a wire up her little nose and down into her esophagus. It has to stay in place for 24 hours, monitoring the acid levels. We had to log every time she cried (it was a good day and she only cried 7 hours:), threw up, was sitting or laying down, and whether she was eating or not eating. It was a lot of work, but hopefully this will tell if the Prilosec is working for the reflux or if it's something else that is causing all the crying. We should get the results Tuesday.

I hate seeing my little girl miserable. From all the crying to the wires taped to her face, this has been the hardest 2 months. We are praying that Harper gets better as she gets older and stronger or they find what is causing all the hurt and fix it.

We had to watch her constantly because she kept trying to pull it out.

Going through this problem with Harper truly makes me feel for those with bigger problems. I could not imagine watching my child suffer and not being able to do anything for long periods of time. As helpless as I feel with Harper, I know that this will be something that will go away. This too shall pass!

Family Pictures

We finally got around to getting some pictures made of our family of 4. Thanks Tamra for doing such a great job. It takes a real knack to get a 2 year old and 6 week old to cooperate!

here are a few of my favorites
