Myrtle Beach 2010

We packed up the whole family and headed up to Myrtle Beach for Nana and Papa's annual beach trip. At first we were a little concerned about the change in location. We usually head to the Gulf but with all the oil problems we didn't want to chance it. Let me tell you, we loved the area. The waves were great for jumping, the sand was flat and great for building, the tide pools were great for the little ones, and the weather was beautiful.
Cam loved the beach. He played in the sand without putting it in his mouth. His favorite thing was being in the ocean or tide pools. I was surprised that the sand and salt did not bother him at all.

Thanks Nana and Papa for the awesome trip. Can't wait till next year!

Cam's First Hair Cut

When we got back from the beach yesterday we decided to go to IHOP for breakfast. As we were getting up to leave a group of older people came over to tell us how cute our "little girl" was. I corrected them a few times in a subtle way, but they still talked about our "sweet little girl."
The minute we got in the car I told Matt that it was time to get his hair cut. So...off to KUTS4KIDS we went.

After...
Cam did so well. He talked and laughed through the whole thing. Hopefully he will not be mistaken for a girl any longer.

Cam loves to play outside, rain or shine. These were too cute not to share:)

Cash is 4!

We were invited to celebrate Cash's 4th birthday with Cash and his friends at Chuck E Cheese's today. I had never been there before (I know, I was deprived as a child), and I was amazed by all the bright lights, games, and kids. I was a bad Aunt and did not charge my camera before the party. I got a few pictures before my camera died.

Cam is obsessed with all things with wheels. He rode this car at least 10 times:)

I will hopefully add some more pictures of Cash's special day when I get them from his mom and dad.

How stinkin' cute is he?

My best friend, Lauren, and I met when we were in 4th grade. I invited her to my 10th birthday party and we have been friends ever since. We were so thrilled to find out she and Clint were expecting a little boy. We knew before he was even born that he and Cam would be great friends. The deal was sealed when he came into this world on Cinco de Mayo (How could they not, when they were both born on drinking holidays?).

Here are a few pictures of their visit.

Happy Birthday America!

I love the 4th of July! Besides the whole independence thing, it's also a holiday that involves a long weekend, no gifts, warm weather, friends, and food. What could be better?

We celebrated our Nation's birthday by hanging out in our neighborhood on Saturday. We missed the bike parade this year due to nap issues, but we did make it to the pool party.

Saturday night we went with Mark, Nickole, and the boys to watch fireworks at River Green. They had a live band, jumpies, and fair food. It was lots of fun. I thought Cam would be afraid of the fireworks, but I was wrong. He kept signing and saying more.

I kind of like him:)

The best family photo I could get:)

Sunday and Monday were spent cooking out with friends and staying cool by the pool. We had such a great relaxing long weekend.
