I'm Nine Months Old!

My baby is 9 months today. He weighs 22 lbs 14 oz and is 31 inches long. He is now only in the 80th percentile for weight (at 6 months he was in the 105) and still off the charts for height. Maybe Cam will now be a basketball player instead of a sumo wrestler when he grows up:).

He is waving and saying "bye bye". Still no "mama's", but we do get an occasional "dadadada". He is babbling a lot more. He is crawling very quickly. Still no pulling up to a stand, but will stand and play if you help him up. He has 5 teeth in and 2 more cutting through. His laugh is coming easier and louder and his smile is contagious. Still snorting:) He is such a happy little guy!

Campbell did have his first virus this month. It has worried me to pieces, but he seems to be getting better thanks to the meds. We can't have a sick baby at Christmas!

A Huge Scare

On Wednesday night we put Campbell to bed around 7:00. Nothing was out of the usual. He was happy, healthy, and sleepy. Around 11:00, I heard a noise coming from his room. We usually let him go back to sleep on his own, but for some reason I went to check on him.
He was sitting in his bed, his eyes were as big as saucers, and he was gasping for air. I originally thought he was choking on something. I looked in his mouth, but saw nothing. I picked him up and it seemed to get worse. I got Matt and we decided to take him to the Emergency Room. As we were driving the gasping seemed to get a little better, than it would get worse.
When we arrived at the hospital, we were taken back right away. They got his stats and put him on 2 different breathing treatments, then gave him an oral steroid. It turns out he had the croup.
After a few hours, he was completely fine. He was even laughing and flirting with the doctor and nurses.
It was the strangest and scariest thing!

Here are a few pictures from his visit Matt took with his iphone(after things calmed down)

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Last weekend we braved a trip to North Point so that Cam could give Santa his wish list. He did surprisingly well, considering he waited in a three hour line (apparently Santa is a very popular guy). Luckily Papa and and Grandma came to take him to lunch while I held his place.
I think he wished for winning lottery numbers for his parents:)

"It's like looking in a mirror"

I came across these picture of Matt when he was little and could not get over how much Campbell looks just like him. If I didn't give birth to him, I would probably think he belonged to Matt and someone else:)

Cabin Fever

Last weekend we loaded up and went to the cabin in Murphy for the weekend. Josh, Kasi, and Hannah joined us. We had a great time relaxing, watching UGA beat GA Tech, and planning the wedding for our little ones:)
Don't worry! We made sure they stayed in their own pack 'n plays!

stopping by the apple orchard on the way

Happy Turkey Day!

We had three Thanksgivings this year. We went to Papa and Grandma's house Wednesday to hangout for a while. On Thursday we went over to Aunt Cole and Uncle Mark's house for the traditional feast with my family. On Sunday, we went to Matt's mom's house to end the celebration.

8 Months Old!

The glare makes it hard to see the sign but...I'm 8 months today!

My little man is 8 months old today. He has grown so much over the past month. He is around 24 pounds and 31 inches tall. He is pulling up (on his knees) on everything and is crawling everywhere. He now has 4 teeth completely in and 2 more breaking through. He is eating pretty much everything. He loves bananas, yogurt, and really any fruit he can get his hands on. He loves to taste what we are eating, too. Tonight he had some manicotti. He is waving goodbye but is not doing it consistently. He is still a happy child and sleeps well, except when he is not in his own bed. He's much more comfortable in his own surroundings:)

Backyard Pictures

As I was cutting grass today I noticed how pretty the leaves were in our backyard. I decided to practice my photography skills and drag Cam out for a little photo shoot. He was more interested in the leaves than being a model.

Totally not ready for another one!

I was dead set on having another child sooner than later....until this past week.
Nickole and Mark took Cooper and Cash to Walt Disney World for the week and we volunteered to watch Tucker. He is an 18 month old crazy man. He was into everything and showed Matt and I all the things that need to be baby proofed before Cam gets much older.

They were always on the go! Tucker would go in one direction (usually towards our pantry) and Cam would go in the other (usually toward the dog's bowls). We were so worn out last night from chasing them around all week, that we went to bed at 8:00.
If I start talking about having another one, please remind me of this post! I think it will be awhile:)

Here is one of the few pictures I had time to take. Double Trouble!

My child's laugh

Cam has always been a happy baby with a big smile, but it's only been recently that we have heard his laugh. It is too funny not to share. He actually snorts! Here is a little video. Listen for the first snort at around 6 seconds.

Happy Halloween!

For Cam's first Halloween we went to Mark and Nickole's house so Matt could scream at the TV (the Ga/Fl game was today ) and Cam could celebrate the day with his cousins. It was filled with food, friends, and way to much candy! My diet starts tomorrow:)

Here are some pictures of Cam pulling up and crawling, two of his newest tricks)

Here are some pictures of our little puppy! How cute is this?

7 Months Old!

Cam kept eating the paper so I had to hold it for him.

Today Campbell is 7 months old. This month has been so wonderful. He is still sleeping through the night (from 7-7) with two naps. He still loves to eat everything except peas. He is not a fan of peas, no matter what you put with them. He is crawling....backwards. Still no forward movement, but getting close. He has 4 teeth and is working on a 5th. He knows his momma, daddy, and his Emily.
One of the new changes this month is his laugh. He is a snorter! Whenever something is funny he snorts. It is really funny to listen to. Hopefully he will grow out of that, but for right now it is pretty cute. I will post video soon.
The change this month I am least excited about is that he is beginning to understand cause and effect. He seems to understand that if he cries, he gets our attention. We are trying hard not to pick him up whenever he whines or cries, but it is hard for me not to come running when he calls. Hopefully, this will pass.
We are so blessed to have this sweet little man is our lives. We are trying hard to enjoy every moment because they go by so fast!

Eating...what he does best!

Here are a few pictures Emily took of Campbell enjoying some strawberries. They were too cute not to post!
Which one first...

This one looks good..

Yummy!

Cagle's Dairy Farm

Last Saturday we loaded up the car and headed to Cagle's Dairy Farm with the Saladin's to enjoy the fall weather. Here are some pictures from the trip.
Cam was not so sure about the hayride!

The boys got to feed calves and lamb, learn how milk was made, and eat funnel cake. They had a great time. Next year we will tackle the corn maze!

Cam's Half Birthday

Cam turned 6 months old on September 17th. This has been a huge month for him. He has 2 teeth on the bottom that seemed to come out of nowhere and now his top two are coming in, as well. He is 22 pounds (105 percentile) and almost 30 inches long (120 percentile). He is getting into the crawling position, but can't quite seem to understand that his hands and feet both need to move. He bounces:). His personality is also beginning to show, big time! He is so happy and loves to smile. We are enjoying him more and more each day!
