Harper's first bath

Harper's belly button thing finally fell off and she got her first bath. She seemed to really like the water. Perhaps we have a future Olympic swimmer on our hands???

Home again, home again...

After spending 3 days in the hospital it is time to go back to reality, or should I say our "new reality". Life with 2 kids!!!!! It's a little scary:)

Matt's mom smocked her a going home outfit. It is the sweetest thing!

Apparently our trip home was non eventful to Harper

Don't let the smiles fool you..we were a little nervous about our new adventure as parents of 2!

2 Year Checkup

My little man is really growing up. It feels like yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital, amazed that they let us take a little human home without any training or without a professional to make sure we did everything the right way.

I do miss Cam as a baby, but at the same time, 2 is such a fun age. Sure, he is a little temperamental and sees his fair share of timeouts, but he is a blast! He loves to play chase, color pictures, play on playgrounds and with play dough, play any sport with a ball, and hit is sister (we are woking on this one:), and Toy Story. He is all boy!

As of right now, Cam is 2 feet 12 inches tall and weighs 32 pounds. Needless to say, he is well over the 90th percentile for both. He is going to be a big boy!

I could not imagine my life without this little boy in it. He is one of the best things that has every happened to us!

A Birthday Surprise!

We had planned a small party for Campbell on the 19th to celebrate his 2nd birthday. Since Harper came early and we did not know when we were coming home, unfortunately, we had to cancel the party. We celebrated his birthday at the hospital instead with Papa and Grandma. He also got to meet his little sister. I am hoping he will consider her the best present he has ever received.

I'm 2!

How sweet is this!

Harper is here!

Harper's Birth Story:
On Tuesday night I started having a few light contractions. They stopped after a few hours so I didn't think anything about it. I went back to sleep and woke up the next morning and went to school as usual. I guess I looked really tired because my co-teacher said I needed to go to the doctor and get checked. After much convincing I decided to call and see if they could see me now instead of the next day for my 38 week appointment. Since the next day was Cam's birthday, I thought it would work out better anyway.
When I got to the doctor at 10:45, I told them I was not crying wolf. I knew I was not in labor, just wanted to get my appointment over with. Well, I was wrong! I was 4 centimeters dilated and in active labor. What??? I didn't even have a bag packed. I wanted to go home and get settled but my midwife told me I needed to go straight over to the hospital instead. No time to pack!
I called Matt and he freaked out a little. He thought I was joking:). I called my sister and she went to our house to pack me up. We called the grandparents to come get Cam. Then I called my mom. After all the calls were made I headed to the hospital. Matt got there in record time, they gave me an epidural, and checked me again. It was now close to 1:00. I was 6 centimeters dilated. It was going way too fast! I didn't feel like I was ready for her to leave my body.
Apparently she didn't take my feelings into account because she was ready to come. At 3:30 I was ready to push. I pushed 3 times and Harper Ellen Stell came into this world at 3:55 sunny side up and crying:). She was 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 20 and 3/4 inches long. SHE WAS BEAUTIFUl!

I was truly blessed to have such an easy labor and delivery.

Still in Shock:)
