Easter is my favorite holiday for many reasons.
- It reminds me of my Grandma Ellen and hunting those gross marshmallow eggs in her backyard in Hartwell (my brothers and sister would re-hide them a million times). Her birthday is also on the 7th of April.
- It is the beginning of Spring and everything is beginning to come alive again after the winter.
- It is a holiday without the pressure of gifts and major travel.
- The biggest reason of all is the meaning of Easter. Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. That is the coolest thing!
This year we spent Easter at the farm. The boys hunted Easter eggs. We went on a hayride, made our own fishing poles from bamboo, and went fishing in the lake. We also had a yummy meal (not fish:). The weather was gorgeous and I could not have asked for a better day.
