My 10th Month Old!

My little boy is getting so big! I can't believe in 2 months he will be a year. Where does the time go?
So far he has 7 teeth and has learned to bite (lovely:). He is eating everything and has even decided what he likes the best. In fact, he will take broccoli off his plate and throw it on the floor so he can get to the things he would rather eat. He is saying DaDa, knows the sign for a bottle and more, and waves bye bye and hello. He is even shaking his head "No" when we say it and claps when he hears singing. It's pretty cute.
And yes, as you can tell from the picture he has found his tongue and loves to stick it out.

Snow Angel

I decided to brave the elements and take Cam outside today to see the snow (for a few minutes:). He didn't seem to mind the cold, wind, and white stuff on the ground.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas was extra special this year because we have a little one to share it with. Having a son of my own makes God's gift of his son so much more real for me. I could not imagine giving Campbell to die for people who did not deserve such a gift. What a Great God and Savior we have!

On Christmas Eve we went to Matt's mom's house for church, dinner, and presents.

On Christmas Day we stayed around the house in the morning. Papa and Grandma came for breakfast and to see what Santa brought for Campbell.

Later that day we went to Mark and Nickole's house for Christmas dinner and karaoke fun!

Although we missed some of our family, we had such a great holiday and are looking forward to a wonderful New Year!

Here are a few pictures of Campbell's first Christmas.

Matt and his dad putting the toy chest together. Thanks Papa and Grandma!

Father and Son putting together the car his GiGi got him. He loved it!

Even though he really had no idea what Christmas was all about. He loved touching and playing with the tree, spending time with family, and his presents.

I'm Nine Months Old!

My baby is 9 months today. He weighs 22 lbs 14 oz and is 31 inches long. He is now only in the 80th percentile for weight (at 6 months he was in the 105) and still off the charts for height. Maybe Cam will now be a basketball player instead of a sumo wrestler when he grows up:).

He is waving and saying "bye bye". Still no "mama's", but we do get an occasional "dadadada". He is babbling a lot more. He is crawling very quickly. Still no pulling up to a stand, but will stand and play if you help him up. He has 5 teeth in and 2 more cutting through. His laugh is coming easier and louder and his smile is contagious. Still snorting:) He is such a happy little guy!

Campbell did have his first virus this month. It has worried me to pieces, but he seems to be getting better thanks to the meds. We can't have a sick baby at Christmas!

A Huge Scare

On Wednesday night we put Campbell to bed around 7:00. Nothing was out of the usual. He was happy, healthy, and sleepy. Around 11:00, I heard a noise coming from his room. We usually let him go back to sleep on his own, but for some reason I went to check on him.
He was sitting in his bed, his eyes were as big as saucers, and he was gasping for air. I originally thought he was choking on something. I looked in his mouth, but saw nothing. I picked him up and it seemed to get worse. I got Matt and we decided to take him to the Emergency Room. As we were driving the gasping seemed to get a little better, than it would get worse.
When we arrived at the hospital, we were taken back right away. They got his stats and put him on 2 different breathing treatments, then gave him an oral steroid. It turns out he had the croup.
After a few hours, he was completely fine. He was even laughing and flirting with the doctor and nurses.
It was the strangest and scariest thing!

Here are a few pictures from his visit Matt took with his iphone(after things calmed down)

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Last weekend we braved a trip to North Point so that Cam could give Santa his wish list. He did surprisingly well, considering he waited in a three hour line (apparently Santa is a very popular guy). Luckily Papa and and Grandma came to take him to lunch while I held his place.
I think he wished for winning lottery numbers for his parents:)

"It's like looking in a mirror"

I came across these picture of Matt when he was little and could not get over how much Campbell looks just like him. If I didn't give birth to him, I would probably think he belonged to Matt and someone else:)
