Not so silent reflux

My sweet little girl was so peaceful and calm for the first 2 weeks of her life. She was easy! Then things changed....dramatically! She started screaming and did not stop.

We took her to the pediatrician and they diagnosed her with silent reflux (there is nothing silent about it!). They prescribed Zantac. It did nothing. She still screamed and screamed after she ate.
We went back to the doctor. They put her on an Alimentum formula and changed her to Prilosec. It didn't help.

We were then sent to the GI doctor. He agreed that she had severe reflux and also believes she has a very sensitive stomach. He upped her Prilosec to over double what she was taking. She developed severe diarrhea and was still screaming. They changed her to Soy formula to help with the diarrhea. It made her extremely constipated.

We went back to the GI doctor on Monday. He added Merilax to help with the constipation and gave us an enema to give her. Lovely!

We feel the reflux is being controlled with the meds, but her stomach is still bothering her. She needs help going to the bathroom and cries through the 45 minute process. Bless her heart!
I see another trip to the GI doctor in our near future.

She is definitely not helping my case to have one more baby in the future. Matt now says he is happy with 2:) Ha!
