Aquarium Fun and A New Addition to the Family

Yesterday Matt took off work and we headed down to the Georgia Aquarium to spend the day under the sea:). Cam was a little tired by the time we got in, but he was amazed by all the fish. I think he had a pretty good time:)

meeting some new friends

teething and watching the fish (multitasking:)

kisses for everyone

Cam's first taste of The Varsity (a greasy way to end the day)

Now for the new addition. No, I am not pregnant. But Matt did wait in line for almost 6 hours on Thursday to get his new iPhone. Apparently the video and camera are better quality than the old one (along with some other things that I didn't really listen to). Using our MacBook Pro and his new phone he created this video. It's too big to upload here, so below is the link to watch it. I was pretty impressed.

Holy Molars!

Cam has been getting his molars for the past 2 months. They are finally breaking through. This week we also noticed he is getting the teeth beside them also. Can't a kid catch a break!

I see your hiney:)

I figured the best way to get Cam back for squirming away from us when we change him is to post a picture of the get-away:). It's your own fault:)

Here you are right out of the bath....

Happy DaDa Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy a little boy could ask for!

Matt has already taught him so many things. Like...

how to play airplane.

how to clean the floors.

how to drive.

how to play soccer.

how to read.

and how it feels to be loved completely.

To cut or not to cut...that is the question.

I feel like his first haircut will make him a little boy. Am I ready to have a little boy?

The front is still growing in, but the back...
is wild!
Close up of the curls I am not sure I can part with.

I don't think I will make any rash decisions:)

The library

On Wednesday I took Cam to the toddler time at the Roswell Library. I was a little worried about how Cam would act. He is not around groups of kids and he was a little younger than most of the kids there.
The minute we walked through the door he was gone. He walked around talking to all the other parents and kiddos. He loved the singing and dancing. He even played the maracas. He was not happy about leaving.
I didn't want to be that nerdy mom who took a billion pictures, but I did manage to take a few.

Cheese!

So Excited!

Reading and Relaxing

If you notice most of the other kids were sitting with their moms. Cam decided I cramped his style:)

Babies Can Read????

My name is Andrea Stell and I have a problem. I fell victim to an infomercial:). Ever since I saw the commercial for the Babies Can Read program I wanted it. I want to see if it is magically going to teach my 14 month old son how to read Weathering Heights. So...I ordered it. It was not cheap, but I could not help myself.
I'll get Cam to send you an email in a few weeks to let you know how he's doing with it:).

P.S. I ordered the Babies Can Learn Spanish as well (I know, I'm a sucker:). So if you want your email in Spanish, just let me know.

Here is the link if you want to check it out!

A few of my favorite things

Now that Cam is almost 15 months, I have noticed some things that he truly loves.

1. Books! He loves for us to read to him. He loves to look at them by himself. He loves to find things in books that he knows and tell us what they are.

2. Balloons! Balloon was his second word, behind DaDa, and he absolutely loves them.

3. Blue's Clues! It is the only show he will spend 5 minutes watching. He dances along to the songs and does the signs along with Steve or Joe.

4. DaDa! He is totally in love with DaDa. Every time the door opens he says DaDa and goes to find him. I love it!

5. Fruit! Kiwi, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, etc. Cam has not met a fruit he doesn't like.

6. Being outside! Loves being in the sunshine.

7. Balls! He loves to throw them back and forth. He is getting pretty good:)

8. Sleep! He let's us know it is time for his nap by signing "sleep." He takes 2 good naps most days and loves being in his bed.

Waumba Land

Some people may call us crazy or overprotective, but Matt and I made a decision to keep Cam out of any daycare until he was at least a year old. We didn't want to chance him getting ear infections and other junk until he was big enough to handle it.
We are very lucky to have Emily stay with Cam at our house when Matt and I are working. She is so good with him. He loves her and treats her like part of the family.
I digressed:)
On Sunday, instead of watching the service from home or one of us going, we loaded Cam up and took him to Waumba Land. We filled out the paper work and Matt took him back ( I couldn't do it without getting upset:). I thought it would be about 15 minutes till our number was flashed on the screen to come and get him, but I was wrong. He did great! He stayed the whole time with a great report. Hopefully next week will be just as successful.

Ready to Go!
